Dream Lovers

I dreamt of you last night, you

were standing beside me upon

a windswept cliff.

I was thinking about how beautiful

you are and how much you mean to

me, when suddenly you were there.

Your radiant smile filled me with light,

as you placed your arms around me.

Then in one priceless moment, I felt

what it was like to be truly loved.

In my dreams I beheld the vibrant colors

of love, surrounding me, but then suddenly

you were gone.

In my innocence, I then became lost in

a tapestry of romance and make believe, only

to awaken to my fractured reality. Where

you exist only in my dreams, and where
dream lovers, cease to be!
