As I awaken I wonder if tomorrow will be the same
lying within the solitude of the early morning darkness,
I feel so safe, for no one can see my other face.
Will life have mercy upon me today, and allow me to hide
within the shadows in my mind, or will I lose myself among
The tumultuous storms I feel within.
I wear a mask every day, It is better that way,so no one gets
to see my pain, for within myself I hide my other face.
One that casts no reflection in the mirrors of other people’s
to see my pain, for within myself I hide my other face.
One that casts no reflection in the mirrors of other people’s
eyes, yet is always there.
Weeping for that which once was, and afraid of that which
may be.
I mourn unto myself, within the obituary of our love, I cast
my fury
unto the grave, where emptiness calls out to me and reigns over that
which I still desire.
unto the grave, where emptiness calls out to me and reigns over that
which I still desire.
For empty arms, can never love, neither that which is lost
within
find that which will never be again. So I return to the
memories of
the past, as I put on the mask which covers, the tears
upon - The Hidden Face.
