Memories and Regret

As I walk along familiar

paths, memories remind

me of you.

 

Young couples walk by

laughing and smiling, yet

I walk alone.

 

With each step, and each

cherished memory, that

comes before the

windows of my mind.

 

I feel the remorse of

having lost something

precious, for love long

lost, amidst forgotten

times cannot be easily

regained.

 

And I remain trapped

within a limbo of my

own making. As feelings

of happiness and sadness

intermingle with the reality

of my loss.

 

As darkness ascends

within my heart, and light

itself flees from my misery,

I retreat within my tears.

 

Perhaps, in sleep I may

find refuge, from the

dreams of you, which

haunt me by day.

 

Yet in one brief moment

of despair, I hold you close,

and wish you were here

Fiery passion, arises from deep

within as I take you in my arms.

While your sighs caress my

innermost desires.

Kisses of fire that tease and

tempt, provoking a response

from silky brown skin.

Eyes which know no bounds,

always seeking the pleasures

of our love.

Sensual flames, within a barrio

of despair, arise within the

darkness of the soul.

Until the madness consumes

us, and together we melt within

the torrid flames.

Hearts pounding, our thoughts

dance like embers in the darkness.

Until in ecstasy we are united

forevermore.
